Nucleo Agency

Contract manufacturing in Italy.

This page is for buyers who already know roughly what they want made. If you have a specification, a target format, a formula concept, a volume and a market, the question is which Italian manufacturer is a realistic route — and that is the question the research answers.

What makes a brief quotable

Manufacturers cannot price an idea. The gap between an enquiry that gets a quotation and one that gets a holding reply is usually four or five facts, and they are the same four or five every time.

What Nucleo does not do

We are not a formulation laboratory. We do not develop your formula, run stability testing, or hold technical responsibility for what is produced. We identify manufacturing routes, open the commercial conversation and coordinate it. The technical work belongs to the manufacturer you engage.

What the brief needs

What makes this quotable.

Blanks are fine — an open question is usually the starting point. These are simply what a manufacturer needs before it can price anything.

  1. 01Specification or formula concept
  2. 02Target dosage format
  3. 03Target volume, first order and repeat
  4. 04Packaging brief
  5. 05Target geography
  6. 06Any certification, testing or documentation requirement

Common questions

What if my specification is incomplete?

Common, and not a problem in itself. The first reply will be a question rather than a shortlist. What does not work is a brief so open that any manufacturer would fit — that produces introductions nobody can act on.

Is contract manufacturing more expensive than private label?

Usually the minimums are higher and the timeline longer, because something is being made rather than relabelled. Whether the unit cost is higher depends on the product and volume.

One brief is enough to start. We read it before we reply.
