Nucleo Agency

Mechanical components from Italian manufacturers.

Much of northern Italy's industry is subcontract work to someone else's drawing. The difficulty is not finding a machine shop; it is finding the one with the right process, tolerance and capacity for your part.

What we source

Parts made to your drawing, or to a specification we help make quotable.

  • CNC turned and milled parts
  • Castings and forgings
  • Sheet metal and welded assemblies
  • Gears, transmissions and fasteners
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Sub-assemblies and surface treatments

Drawing, material, tolerance, volume

Those four decide which shops can quote at all. A drawing with the tolerances marked and the material specified gets a price; a photograph of a part gets a question. Both are a fine place to start, but only one gets you a quotation in the first round.

What the brief needs

What makes this quotable.

Blanks are fine. An open question is usually the starting point. These are simply what a manufacturer needs before it can price anything.

  1. 01Drawing or 3D file, with tolerances
  2. 02Material and any treatment or finish
  3. 03Quantity per batch and per year
  4. 04Inspection or certification requirements
  5. 05Destination and delivery terms
  6. 06Target timing for samples and first batch

Common questions

Will you sign an NDA before seeing drawings?

Yes. Say so in the brief and we will send one before you share anything technical. We share drawings with manufacturers only as far as they need to quote.

Can you handle first-article inspection?

We coordinate it with the manufacturer and make sure the inspection requirement is in the quotation. The inspection itself is carried out by the manufacturer or by a third party you choose.

Tell us what you need sourced.

One brief is enough to start. We read it before we reply.
